Yomi Fash-Lanso was born on 7 June 1968 to a Yoruba family in Ogun state and grew up to become a Nigerian actor. He went to primary and secondary school in Lagos. He also studied in Jibilee Martin Grammar school in Awori, before proceeding to University of Lagos in Akoka to study Business Administration. He then further trained at the Independent Television Producer Association where he took a course in film directing and movie production.

In 2014, he received a nomination for the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in Omo Elemosho. That same year, he won the NEA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for the same film, an honor presented in the United States.
