Samantha Marie Sprackling, also professionally recognized as Saffron, is a British singer, songwriter, actress born in Lagos Nigeria. She is the lead singer of the musical group popularly known as Republica. Over the years, she performs in live shows, sing vocals in solo songs and plays instruments (tambourine, guitar). She has appeared in London’s Starlight Express onstage for two years.

Samantha Marie Sprackling grew up in Nigeria and Hongkong before moving to the United Kingdom. When she was 18, she successfully auditioned for Arlene Philips for a part in the musical Starlight Express. From then, she started using Saffron as a stage name as a lead singer in a musical group; Republica.
