Rema was born with a real name as Divine Ikubor in May 1, 2000 and he’s a fast rising Nigerian star, singer, songwriter and rapper in the music industry. Tragedy struck when he lost his father and brother, but Rema’s mother remained strong while training her kids. In 2019, Rema posted freestyle of D’Prince “Gucci Gang” song on Instagram that caught the attention of music producer Don Jazzy, leading to a record deal with Jonzing World.

Rema’s self-titled debut EP, released in 2019, topped Nigerian charts with the breakout hit “Dumebi.” The song even landed a spot on former US President Barack Obama’s summer playlist. In 2020, his music was featured on the FIFA 21 soundtrack, further solidifying his global reach.

Adding to his growing success, Rema (Divine Ikubor) became a brand ambassador for Pepsi in 2021. This same year, he embraced the “Afrorave” genre – a unique blend of Afrobeats with Arabian and Indian influences.
