These videos has been trending on social media and has also caght attention of popular stars. They have the slogan “We play too much Ikorodu to the young filmmakers”.
It was Babatunde Sanni who developed the idea of the Ikorodu Bois and picked a three (3) members of his family Maleek Sanni (8 years then), Muiz Sanni (14 years by then) and Fawas Sanni (10 years at the time). Their first groundbreaking video was Kaptain Kush, where they made use of local wheelbarrows as their luxury cars. They also use mopping sticks as wig, pots, bucket, bottles, household generator and many more to fit in anything similar.

He gathered his brother at home, told them to mimick a character in their favorite movie while he captures the video with him mobile smartphone. After editing it, he decided to share their skills on his social media page. Their videos got so many positive reactions, likes and shares online causing them to open an official social media account on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok with the name “Ikorodu Bois”.

They have also mimicked former President Buhari, Adams Oshiomhole (former Edo state Gov.) and Yemi Osinbajo (former Nigeria VP). On the international front, Ikorodu Bois have also done mimicked videos of American Actor and WWE star, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Roddy Ricch, Justin Bieber and other big Hollywood actors.
